Update May 28, 2019

The Canadian Supreme is a not-for-profit society whose sole purpose was to manage a major western horse event.  The goal was to make a significant contribution to the western horse industry and hopefully break even each year.  For over forty years we reached that goal but now the industry is changing and we feel we cannot continue.  It is with great sadness that the Canadian Supreme committee announces that it will no longer hold the show in September, effective immediately.

This is an update to the press release that was sent out on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.  The Canadian Supreme nominated cutting classes for 2019 will be held at the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity, scheduled for October 16 – 20, 2019.  The nominated cow horse classes for 2019 will be held at the Alberta Snaffle Bit Futurity scheduled for August 29 – September 1, 2019.  The nominated reining classes for 2019 will be held at the Silver Slate Fall Reining Futurity scheduled for October 4 – 6, 2019.

Stallion and yearling nominations that were received in 2018 for the payouts for the 2020 show will receive a full refund.  Refunds will be processed the week of May 27, 2019.

For more information please contact the Canadian Supreme at (403) 313-8673.

Canadian Supreme

The Canadian Supreme is a not-for-profit society whose sole purpose was to manage a major western horse event.  The goal was to make a significant contribution to the western horse industry and hopefully break even each year.  For over forty years we reached that goal but now the industry is changing and we feel we cannot continue.

Unfortunately, the stallion program that for years was a significant factor in keeping the incredible payout purses, is declining each year.  Trade fair participants are declining, and costs associated with holding a show with multiple disciplines and cattle costs keep rising.  These costs need to be passed on to the competitors and we feel that these costs have priced us out of the market.

It is with great sadness that the Canadian Supreme committee announces that it will no longer hold the show in September, effective immediately.  We are currently in discussions with cutting and cow horse show producers to provide a venue to hold the 2019 Canadian Supreme nominated cutting and cow horse classes.  The nominated reining classes will be held at the Silver Slate Fall Futurity.  We are also working on a plan for the 2020 nominations.  There are many details to finalize over the next few weeks and once those details are complete we will send out another update.

For more information please contact the Canadian Supreme at (403) 313-8673.

2018 Reining Entries

Stall List

Entry & Stall Confirmations

Please check the entry and stall confirmations on the website to make sure your entries and stalls are correct.

If there is a problem with your entries or stalls please send a detailed e-mail to webmaster@canadiansupreme.com and we will see that it is corrected.

Premium Stalls

If you are stabled in the premium stalls (Agricentre), beware that the West end of the Agricentre is under construction.  There is no parking for trailers or RV’s on the west or north side of the Agricentre.  There is enough room for two rows of 35′ (or less) trailers, one row backed in straight and tight to the rails on the south side and the other row straight and tight to the chain link fence on the south side.  This will leave a 25′ fire lane between the two rows and access to the construction site.  Trailers longer than 35′ will need to find parking elsewhere on the Westerner grounds.

If you would like to make changes (move to the tents, add tack stalls, etc.) to your stalls because of this new information, please e-mail webmaster@canadiansupreme.com by Sunday, September 2nd.
